JÚLIA
COLLADO RIU
Júlia Collado Riu began her artistic career in 2021 under the name Iris Deco with her debut album Golden, captivating audiences with a unique fusion of Soul and R&B, thanks to collaborations with Ferran Palau, Jordi Matas, and b1n0. This work showcased her versatile talent and solidified her as a promising voice in the music scene.
In addition to her own creations, she has collaborated with artists such as Clara Peya and shared the stage with renowned figures like Arlo Parks in Madrid and Barcelona. Internationally, her music resonated at the People & Culture Festival in Berlin.
In early 2024, with the release of her EP and short film Mai s’ha trencat del tot, Júlia made the decisive step to bid farewell to Iris Deco and adopt her real name, Júlia Collado Riu. This change stemmed from a significant revelation in her journey, as she sought to connect with her purest essence. The short film symbolized a transition to her current artistic phase, where the search for authenticity in her identity became key.
Her new album, set to release in November 2024, is a work of experimental pop born from the artist’s personal challenge to step out of her comfort zone. With a journey between darkness and light, Júlia conveys these feelings in each song. Furthermore, for the first time, she has decided to use Catalan, her native language, in the pursuit of genuine and faithful expression. This album marks a turning point in her musical path, emotionally baring herself and allowing her to be recognized more honestly than ever before.
