Aida Oset – Les evasions mínimes

Aida Oset is a multidisciplinary artist who expresses herself through theater and cinema, but also through music and composition. After being part of projects like Lady in Black or Nuu and composing soundtracks for film, theater, and dance (La lleugeresa i altres cançons, Històries d’Istanbul, Blink Flash Duncan…), Aida Oset makes her solo debut with Les Evasions Mínimes, a new project that dances between singer-songwriter pop and electronic music, and for the first time, she has composed entirely in Catalan.

The first single from these minimal escapes is “L’espasa,” a very intimate and intense song, yet minimalist at the same time. It originates from an image, a light that enters through the blinds and projects onto the wall in the shape of a sword. Les evasions mínimes represents a round-trip journey, of falling and ascending. An intimate and personal journey about death and life, about healing, salvation, and love. A passage where the voice and lyrics set the course, and where the instrumentation, electronic at times and more organic at others, nuances each of the messages that Aida Oset conveys.

The songs of Les evasions mínimes are conceived as fleeting moments, as small instances where Aida Oset opens up to herself and confronts all her thoughts. They are brief escapes where she withdraws into herself to understand, accept, and emerge anew. A tiny space of intimacy with oneself, where we can hear ourselves and contemplate our reflection, where we can look ourselves in the eye.

Aida Oset returns to her musical facet in the rawest and most visceral way, elegantly navigating between light and shadow. In Les evasions mínimes, she firmly embraces removing the gloves and reaching the skin, and honestly, she has already pierced ours.
