Capfico
10,00€ – 20,00€
Nothing can go wrong when the music begins to sound slow, calm, like a gentle sway that rocks you, as if you were in a boat with calm seas. And it all makes sense when the record playing is called Capfico, a word that Mallorcans use when they dive under water. Capfico is the underwater refuge where the Valencian singer-songwriter Clara Andrés is. A fourth album in which he shows a landscape that is smaller than large, more nostalgic than sad, more hedonistic than happy, a meeting point and complicity between music and poetry. After three albums, Dies i dies (2007), Huit (2010) and Entrelinies (2014), and the collaboration with the Valencian band Júlia, which bore fruit in 2019 with the album L’Eix Radical, Capfico arrives, a disc that crosses new horizons in a luminous and resplendent way. Eight songs that swim through the intimate universe of Clara Andrés, a dimension where the right and necessary elements flow to conceive that slow and recognizable rhythm of the singer-songwriter. And among these elements we find shy guitars that form the backbone of each of the songs, but they are not alone, this time they are accompanied by the soft electronic arrangements of Estela Tormo, who joins this adventure to add richness to the seabed of Capfico. Eight songs that are like a circular journey that begins and ends, but never ends. Clara Andrés recorded Capfico during the winter months, although with her eyes fixed on the summer sunsets, together with Sergio Peirò, under the careful co-production of Estela Tormo and the collaborations of the clarinettist Ausiàs Garrigós and the faithful percussionist Xarli Oliver, who they have always been present in the singer-songwriter’s previous albums. A confirmation and a firm step by Clara Andrés, an open door to her mind and her confidence.
