After his debut with ‘L’aigua del Rierol’, an album that led him to be among the best of the year in magazines as prominent as Rockdelux, Ferran Palau, better known as one of the leaders of the Anímic, presents his second album, ‘Santa Ferida’. The album, created and recorded over two years with Jordi Matas and with the final help of the legendary AKG Spring Reverb courtesy of Joan Pons (El Petit de Cal Eril), has been re-started and re-recorded up to three times to find that magic that is never absent in the records of this prolific and exquisite artist. Although Palau has always been attracted and inspired by death, religion and guilt, we find this new album lighter, an aesthetic and summery atmosphere stands out, they are songs that you would listen to with the warmth of the sun and the sea breeze caressing your skin. Ferran Palau fights to make himself understood through new and refreshing melodies while continuing to lead us to those mysterious landscapes to which he has us accustomed. An album full of hits like the catchy “La daga” or the now classic “El meu lament”, and echoes of bands like Talk Talk or Timber Timbre and soloists like Cass McCombs or Damien Jurado.
